KC certification is a product certification in South Korea. It is a mandatory safety certification system for electrical and electronic products implemented by the Korea Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) under the Electric Appliances Safety Control Act since January 1, 2009. The KC mark is the national unified certification mark. It aims to ensure product compliance with Korean safety regulations and protect consumers' health and safety. Products are classified into different categories for KC certification, such as mandatory safety certification, self-regulatory safety confirmation, and supplier self-confirmation. The certification process includes product testing, factory inspection (for some types), and regular supervision after certification. Products within the scope of KC certification generally include electrical products with voltages between AC 50V and 1000V.
